Ashley is the owner and trainer at Soulway Equestrian Center. Raised on a working horse training facility in Washington, Ashley was immersed in the world of horsemanship from the time she could walk. Her earliest memories involve saddling horses alongside her family and spending long days in the barn learning the language of horses through experience, observation, and feel.
Over the years, she developed a training style rooted in trust, communication, and respect — one that prioritizes understanding the horse as an individual while guiding riders to become calm, confident leaders in and out of the saddle.
Ashley’s approach blends time-tested horsemanship with a deep understanding of horse and rider psychology. She is known for her ability to read a horse quickly, identify gaps in communication, and bring out the best in both green and experienced horses. Her teaching style emphasizes clarity, timing, and feel — helping riders of all levels connect more deeply with their horse while building a solid foundation.
With experience in both English and Western disciplines, Ashley teaches everything from basic horsemanship and groundwork to jumping, ranch versatility, and barrels. Whether you’re brand new to horses, returning after time away, or preparing for competition, she creates a supportive, progress-driven environment where horses and humans are set up to succeed.
At Soulway Equestrian Center, Ashley’s mission is to build better horse-human partnerships through consistency, compassion, and a whole-lot of saddle time
